Every Wednesday, Thoughts Of A Retired Christian For June 26, 2019

On this Wednesday morning we had eight members at our Mugz coffee gathering. We started off by talking about cars and that we mostly felt that Carmax was the best place to buy them. They have a great inventory of late model used cars and are easy to deal with. They will buy your trade in usually for a very good price. In fact I have dealt with them three times and that has always been my experience with them. I have always named my cars and I asked our group if they did also. For the most part they do not. Right now I am driving Monica and my other car is called Amanda. It seems more comfortable and natural to me that way somehow. After all we spend a great deal of our time with our cars. We next talked about eyesight and how it changes as one ages, usually not for the better. Thank God for eyeglasses. Lastly we talked about our local hometown Baseball team, the Sugar Land Skeeters. They are a minor league team that is at the top of their league at present. Tomorrow they are having a daytime game with $2 beer, what can be wrong about that and I for one plan on going.

Our devotion study on this day was from the Readers Digest and was from an article entitled "Love and The Gift Of Acceptance". The article said that if you believe that you are a beautiful person others would see that and actually treat you that way. Very sage advise it seems to me.
