Success of any endeavor should push us to think of possible reasons as much as failure does.
Because if you know the recipe of the secret sauce then you can repeat the success.
Lately we did some amazing work in onboarding new partners and this month we were able to onboard over 65 partners which is almost double of what we do on a monthly basis. With the current pipelines it seems we will reach an even bigger number by month end.
When I dived deeper in search of some insights of this victory, I was pleasantly surprised to see it eventually boiled down to some fundamental business principles. It always does.
The ones that we were missing, while we became slave to our routines.
1. Goal Setting - January being the first month of a very crucial year for us needed to start with a bang. The core team brainstormed and we decided to keep a big target to push ourselves to come out of comfort zones & think out of box. We burnt the midnight oil and created a compelling proposition for new potential partners, an offer they could not refuse.
This was shared with on-ground team & call center team to gauge their confidence. Once the entire team was confident of our offering we launched the limited period scheme for onboarding.
2. Training - We extensively trained our call center team and on-ground onboarding teams to focus on basics. The core benefit a regular mobile retailer would get if he/she converts to SmartDukaan. No 20 pointer checklist but the 3 big reasons which will make his life easy and profits high.

3. Monitoring - We changed our monitoring matrix. From conversion focus to explanation focus. How many prospects could hear the benefits from our teams rather than how many they converted. This changed the mindset of teams and instead of constant noise in their head & fear of not being able to convert their mind shifted to ensuring they were able to explain the benefits to our potential retailers. We monitored this everyday with quick team calls & retraining them on core benefits again and again.
4. Reward - Superstar contest was created and launched which brought great excitement & a sense of healthy competition. Everyday each state team was pushing each other to perform better in terms of going out to market to meet new partners, follow-up on existing leads and explaining the benefits of onboarding. Now the Superstars who won the contest are going on a holiday trip together with support teams to celebrate and build a strong bond with each other which will take us even higher.
And here we are, creating a new benchmark for ourselves with many more to go.
Now the next few days are different and the focus has changed totally. We want to ensure that all our onboarded partners are trained & hand-holded well so they can feel the immense benefit of being part of SmartDukaan world. We are working on ensuring that these new members of our family get the best of us in every sense.?

1 年Absolutely love the four pillars- Goal setting, training, monitoring and rewards It is good to see the focus is on creating causes of explaining why rather than age old sales conversion. Once we get to the deepest pain points, it becomes realistic to catch up the exponential growth path.
