Every success has a pain behind the scene

We spend all of our lives trying to move up on an imaginary ladder. Even when we do succeed, we live in constant fear of falling off and hitting bottom, so it's still very agonizing - and not very fulfilling. By actually hitting bottom, it gives one unbelievable strength when the realization emerges that you have the ability to endure rock bottom. You understand that you have nothing to lose.
This makes one virtually unstoppable from that point forth. You are free to do anything, to go anywhere, to try anything. No matter what you try, it doesn't matter if you fail. You've already lived through rock bottom and are still breathing. This is the only way to fully enjoy the journey for what it is.
Remember that famous line from the movie Braveheart: "They can take our lives, but they can never take our freedom!" This stems directly from Socrates' philosophy that he alone controls the power to generate his independent thoughts and beliefs. There is immense nobility and courage in the understanding that life is bigger than ourselves, and that we can believe in or love something so strongly that we'd rather be tortured or killed than to deny our truth.
"Spend a little more time trying to make something of yourself and a little less time trying to impress people." As young people we are often consumed in a plight to please and impress all of those that we think matter to us. Constantly we try so hard to change ourselves and alter every last detail to fit in with the ideas we think will have any impact. This rings true for everybody, it made me realise that I do not need to think about others and what they think of when they look at me.
What thoughts and misconceptions they have of you may remain in their head for, what, a day. What you could achieve if you just let go of that may leave an imprint on the world for the rest of time. You are wrong if you think that the joy of life comes principally from the joy of human relationships. God’s place is all around us, it is in everything and in anything we can experience. People just need to change the way they look at things.”
Sometimes, you must realise there is beauty everywhere in the world. You just have to breach the boundaries of that door that keeps you locked away from it all. Take a risk to realise that life can give you so much more, run with the horses and climb mountains, abandon your comfort zone to experience the world out there. Change your perspectives. It may be the best decision you ever make.
We can't choose where we come from but we can choose where we go from there. I know it's not all the answers but it was enough to start putting these pieces together..." You have to make the greatest friends that you can and find the good inside yourself. No matter how introverted or unfortunate you are, with people who care for you and some self-respect you can grow. It doesn't matter very much where you come from in life, what matters is what you do from there.
You could retire into yourself and constantly think 'what if?' and start feeling sorry for yourself. Or. You could experience the best of life and find excitement and happiness in what you choose to do. Any human being, no matter how downtrodden he has made himself out to be, and no matter how how hard-done-by he feels he is, can find a passion in something.
A burning desire that fuels his life can be found in the strangest of places and that passion can ignite a fire in the hearts of all it goes on to inspire. In this particular example, the protagonist goes on a journey to find himself and his first true conviction in a wholly different place to those he is accustomed to.
Lets never come here again, 'cause it would never be as much fun. Love and enjoyment can be found in the strangest, most unthinkable places on Earth and it can be found with anybody. Sometimes you have to search for happiness, but if you are lucky enough it will come. Age, location and background have no real bearing on human emotions and how you choose to live your life.
The decisions you make in life can effect those you never even began to think of. What you decide to do and the route you choose to take does not just effect you as a person but can destroy those around you and feed hate and prejudice. People will observe and see what you do and some will be desperate enough to follow. Think about your actions and the repercussions they can have.
When stuck in your own private hell, there may be obstacles to overcome and challenges that you face which can bring you down and you may have to try, and try again to reach your goal. That goal may only come when you untie that rope dragging you into the realms of safety and take a risk. When you make a decision to risk something often you can come out better on the other side.
