Sharp. Piercing. High voltage. Electric shock. Lean on the right foot, pull the left. Let it touch the ground lightly, or else. Gentle, do not push on it. Do not shift your weight to that side. Use it to bounce onto the same leg. Yes, you look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, but you do not care. The right side is now beginning to feel the weakness. The right knee is beginning to buckle. There is very little time left before you fall. Find a place to lay, quick! Knock those chairs over, it’s fine. Push those people to the side, it’s okay. You are in pain. There are tears in your eyes waiting to roll down your cheeks. Ease and release in your lower back as you give yourself to the unknown surface you chose. Some tension is released, until it’s immediately gathered up again. A good, long squeeze of the nerves centered inside your lower back shooting down to the toes then up behind the eyes. The body as tight as your clenched hand which is beginning to shake now. Your body vibrating with agony, screaming for help, while the throat stays silent trying to process the pain. All you see is white with your eyes closed at the height of the electrocution. Lay as long as you can before needing to get up again. Gather every last bit of energy to fight. Roll to the side. Push up with your arm. Hold onto something when getting up. Tightly hold your delicate spine while moving. And repeat.
