The glass can be half empty or half full.?But, what matters is- when you decide to stand up and refill the glass. Our lives are full of challenges that are seldom very straightforward. Taking shortcuts/tailor-made approaches can help you sail for the next day but to cross the sea, you need to build a ‘Setu' that supports you as well as your teammates.
While we managed to brave the Covid headwinds with decent success, the rising attrition has been a big cause of concern for the IT sector in the last twelve months. Given the hyper-growth environment in the industry, what we are witnessing is not exactly out of sorts. Of course, the pandemic played a big role in accelerating this trend but what it also gave us was an opportunity to learn, innovate and improve.
At GlobalLogic , we adopted a three-pronged approach to adapt to this new normal. Admittedly, it wasn’t easy to figure out where to start but optimism proved critical in showing us the way forward. I believe, an optimistic approach to problems makes work less stressful, and more fun and leads to increased innovation, creativity and productivity.
a. Not just upskilling but crafting careers: Our state-of-the-art Academies moved beyond upskilling/reskilling to personalize people’s career journeys. We follow a self-paced and experiential learning model that engages employees through a real-world environment.
b. Nearly 35 percent of our workforce are women, and we are continuously investing to scale and promote gender diversity at our workplaces across the world.

c. While the world focused on hiring, we shifted and pivoted on getting our great hires/alumni back with a unique campaign, GL Homecoming.
2. Purpose and engagement
At GlobalLogic, we work with a sense of purpose. Our growth incorporates the growth of the company, our people, and the community at large. Making an impact in this industry and in customers’ lives is what keeps us motivated.?
Though engagement is a little difficult to get right, a republican approach to work can really set the tone for ‘happier’ and fulfilled employees.?
3. Leverage technology where ever you can
I'm a techie at heart. Deploying technology to human advantage drives me in ways none of the other factors can. We are using an AI-based approach to the talent lifecycle, especially on the acquisition side which plays a major role in recruitment effectiveness, productivity as well as talent experience.?
