Every One Sees Humanity Differently
Humanity: Everything That Comes Within The Human Qualities

The innate capacity for interest in the well-being of other people and beings is a time-honored standard in every human's essence. It is one of the many rhetorical notions in our cultures. But, it is also one of the poorly defined buzzwords of our time. A few definitions one can find online are as follows:
. The quality of being humane; is benevolence.
. The condition or quality of being human.
. A humane characteristic, attribute, or act.
. Human qualities or characteristics are considered desirable.
. The fact or quality of being human.
For whatever the goodness of being human, in our era's ever-rising entitlement, our stride to meet the resulting definition of humanity is turning to be nothing but buzzes.
Now, the question is:
If the humanity is merely about human nature and its ideal attributes, then why should definition of humanity become subject of scrutiny?
And why shouldn’t we just take the humanity and any of its associated action, attribute and characteristics as they are instead of glorifying parts that we adore and brush the rest under the rug?!
We seem to constantly forget that human beings commit wrongful acts just as much as they do good to their fellow humans!
Human beings cheat, lie, steal, and, more often than not, cut the opportunity to others when they feel intimidated. They commit the act of monopoly and do things that they don't want others to do to them. Those are actions and intentions that one usually can not associate with animals.
So, humanity is not as perfect as we want it to stand!
The unsettling preponderance of umbrage and outrage we see today is the utter reflection of basic humanity's withdrawal from the collective consciousness as most people have imagined it. That is not without reason.
We either see the poor perception of what humanity is, or we are simply ignorant and arrogant to observe its existence. We rationalize wars in society's name and let people starve through various political rhetorics to prove our point. Though, perhaps, indeed, that is what humanity is all about!
Some psychologists try to categorize humanity or "inhumanity" to address contraversies around its definition. They classify humanness into three High level, moderate-level, Low level, and underdeveloped "basic humanities."
The said scholars regard attributes like universal brotherhood and sacrifice for the greater good of everyone as the highest level of basic humanity. In contrast, the same group sees the sense of isolation, contemptuousness, vengefulness, and willingness to harm as underdeveloped basic humanity. Everything that falls between the latter two categories we often based on personal, cultural, or social values.
Some have a schematic view of humanity as nothing but the human race, which pertains to everyone on earth. Or incorporates attributes like the ability to love and compassion, be creative, and be different from a robot.
Some see humanity by connecting with basic altruistic ethics, the principle of caring about everyone's quality of life, whether material or spiritual.
Despite this, humanity, in the broader sense, is not always practically indulging, even though it indulges the contemporary human psychologically.
Indeed, there are relatively indulging humans in history, like Mahatma Gandhi, who devoted his life to freeing his country and serving his fellow compatriots. Or mother Terresa, who spent years in India helping those in great need. However, on the other end of the spectrum, we continually witness many who call themselves "leaders of the free world" ordering various atrocities around the globe, supposedly fighting the bad guys. Notwithstanding that, the same people are ignorant about their leadership's devastation to their people and worldwide.
Indeed, some of the associated elements of humanity may be only in their literal connotation. These values include respect, acceptance, consideration, appreciation, listening, openness, affection, empathy, and love toward other human beings. Nonetheless, everyone sees, rationalizes, and idealizes such values differently and not uncommonly based on selfish drives. Furthermore, love, compassion, non-violence, and truth may be universal or adaptable to everyone. Yet, "the idea of doing the right thing" can sound very vague and subject to misinterpretation.
Humanity is everything that comes within the human disposition. That is the good, the bad, and the ugly about who we are as humans! — The most important thing about being a "decent human" is to be a "fair human," and we can only achieve that state if we embrace the "Golden Rule" notion and apply that in every decision we make. That is "treating others as one wants to be treated."
