Happy Independence Day! As an honorably discharged veteran, I am so proud and humbled to be able to volunteer in veteran programs. Our President/CEO at Praxis Capital, Brian Burke, is also very supportive of helping veterans! We began by working with a local non-profit to lease one of our rental homes to help house struggling vets! And now, we are expanding our efforts…
A message from our CEO…
Independence Day is a time to remember the men and women in uniform that protect our freedoms and our lives. These folks and their families are true heroes who make enormous sacrifices to help our country and our communities.
I have teamed up with four colleagues to change the life of one of these heroes. We are giving away a house, all fixed-up and debt-free to a deserving member of the United States Military, law enforcement, fire or EMS.
In my former life before founding Praxis Capital, I worked in law enforcement and as a firefighter/EMT and my wife is a nurse at our local trauma center—so this cause is near and dear to me.
But we can’t do this on our own.We have formed A Hero’s Home, Inc., a non-profit corporation in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) status and are now accepting tax-deductible donations on our website to help with the cost. Our first house is in Memphis, TN and is currently being renovated to be in perfect condition for a Hero family.
By donating to A Heroes Home, 100% of every dollar donated goes directly toward providing a beautiful, fully renovated, and completely debt-free home to a deserving hero.
Each Board Member has generously donated their time and effort, plus the first $10,000, to this cause. Let us be the first to invite you to participate by donating to this very worthy cause.
