Every day is Earth Day....

Profoundly impacts all engines: longer life, more power, cleaner, reduce downtime, maintenance= better ops, IRR. Do I have your attention?? No Capex/Turnkey. Land, inland tugs, ocean vessels. Diesel, bunker, gasoline.
The first Earth Day occurred when I was in grade school. Recall various student projects such as cleaning out a local stream. We mostly pulled out empty soda cans and some "vintage" steel cans (beer, soda). What occurred to me is these were not decomposing.
My mom was a pillar of recycling. When it became available in our town, she actively separated glass, newspapers, cardboard and cans (aluminum / steel). Mom found the conventional garbage was drastically reduced with recycling.
Fast forward to today. ?
I try to recycle at every moment such as picking up plastics, aluminum cans from my Tee Ball Dugout and, whenever possible, do the same at events we attend as a family. ?
At home, I recall my mom’s leadership and endeavor to have one small bag of weekly garbage. Recycling takes some effort including locating places that accept metals and plastic bags. Metals in Houston can be recycled at auto demolition places (Rose Metals) and plastic bags at H-E-B.
What I plan on doing for the upcoming baseball season is to encourage parents to place those items in a container I will provide. There is just a small mountain of stuff that gets thrown out and ends up in the landfill. When I look at my ball players, I simply find is so easy to recycle vs. having those items around for hundreds of years until/ “if it” ever decomposes.
Recycling impacts current & future generations.
For all of us, every day is earth day.
