When a client's requests for revisions seem endless, it's crucial to manage expectations and maintain project integrity. Here's how to keep your project on track:
- Set clear revision policies upfront, detailing the number of allowed revisions and associated costs for additional changes.
- Communicate the impact of revisions on timelines and quality, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the original scope.
- Be firm yet professional when enforcing boundaries, reminding clients of the agreed terms and the value of your expertise.
What strategies have you found effective in maintaining project boundaries with clients?

To handle endless revisions, I establish clear revision limits in the contract, communicate expectations upfront, and charge for extra work. I stay professional but assertive in maintaining boundaries while being flexible when necessary.

The contract will help you to manage the process of the project so you should be aware of every aspect that will effect the timeline and the effort you will spend on it. You can limit the revisions by putting a fixed number of revisions maybe 3-4 main revisions that will effect the design a lot and that will save your rights to avoid conflict.

To maintain project boundaries with a client seeking endless revisions, clearly define the revision limits in your contract from the start. Communicate the scope, timeline, and costs associated with extra revisions upfront. Stay firm but polite and remind the client of the agreed terms if they request additional changes beyond the scope.
