Every Child Deserves the Opportunity of a Great Education

On my first morning in a Dago, Kenya classroom in 2009 I handed an 8th grade boy a pen after he came to tears because his pen had run out of ink during class. When he wanted to give it back to me and I said no, keep it, his teacher explained to me that he was crying because he was worried he might never get another pen and then he would have to quit school. This was my first big culture shock in Dago and, little did I realize, these wonderful people would become a big part of my life.

Since then, with the help of many, many people, we have awarded 32 full four year scholarships and 4 of our students are attending University. This, from a village where almost no one had ever gone to high school.

The new school years starts the first week of January. How many additional Dago children will get to go to high school? That will be decided by how much money people donate. Please take a moment to give whatever you can. No donation is ever too small!
