Every Business Is Essential

I think I speak for most entrepreneurs out there...
...we don't want a hand out, we don't want a loan, we don't want to be indebted to the government. You forced this on us. We just want to get our businesses running again.
Small businesses are the blood, sweat and tears that keep the world running. But here in the good ole' USA, our State's Governors have deemed themselves our overlords and are dictating what is and what isn't an essential business.
EVERY SINGLE BUSINESS IS ESSENTIAL
TO THE CONSUMER THAT NEEDS THEM.
Every single one.
Unfortunately there is no rhyme or reason when it comes to States deciding what fits into THEIR category of essential. So in some States I could get a haircut, oh but not in Pennsylvania. In some States I could buy liquor but here in Pennsylvania well they closed their Wine & Spirits stores.
What if I need to buy a mattress from my favorite mattress store Gardner's Mattress & More, oh I can't they have been deemed non-essential. But wait...the big corporate box stores that are allowed to stay open because they are "essential" are selling them. And there lies the problem. The small business gets kicked in the jimmies.
But the line needs to be drawn and Entrepreneurs need to get their businesses running again. Most entrepreneurs can sacrifice being shut down for 2-3 weeks. Heck, everything we do as an entrepreneur is a sacrifice...but at the end of the day we need to know our business will come out stronger for it. So now we are going into a month and Governors across this great land are extending those shutdown orders for longer periods. In Virginia it's been extended to June 10. "F" That! No small business can survive 3 months without sales.
Either we all shut down, or none of us shut down.
And about those loans...
Yup, the SBA will lend you money, just fill out these forms. Wait, you have to get your banker to sign off on them. But the banker has no clue or isn't trained on processing the forms, or the bank isn't seeing customers face to face. And some have said the banks websites keep crashing due to the influx of applicants trying to access and submit forms.
Oh and the businesses that were allowed to stay open, those that were deemed "essential" are also allowed to file for loans to help them be even better when this crisis is over.
