Eversheds Sutherland reinforces finance capability with new Partner

Tom Van Hoof appointed to global law firm’s banking and finance practice

Eversheds Sutherland has reinforced its banking and finance practice with the appointment of Partner, Tom Van Hoof , in Hong Kong.

Tom, an experienced finance lawyer, joins from global law firm DLA Piper. He began his legal career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, qualifying in Brussels and New York. After moving to Allen & Overy in 2012, he then joined DLA Piper’s Hong Kong office in 2017.

Tom has extensive experience advising financial institutions, investors and corporate borrowers on debt finance and commercial transactions, including leveraged and acquisition finance, project finance, asset finance, pre-IPO and margin finance, real estate finance and general banking transactions.

He advises clients across a number of sectors, including financial services, energy, maritime, logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing and hotels & leisure.

Tom is recommended by legal industry directory, Legal 500, “…for acquisition and leveraged finance.”
