Everlasting?

Everlasting?

Recently, I visited a historic city that I believe must have been a beautiful and massive empire once upon a time. I deliberately will not mention the name because I feel everyone has visited such places where they start questioning themselves: What are we doing or creating? If these gigantic structures from those times are historic ruins for us, then what is everlasting?

I understand that everything is meant to die, deteriorate, or vanish in this physical world. So, what is everlasting?

The word "feel" holds a lot of power. It is an experience independent of whether we are admiring a fabulous piece of art or are moved by the stories of great warrior queens and kings of the empire.

This raises the question: Is experience an everlasting imprint on one's soul, and can it be designed, created, and built? Can we live within that space or admire it for centuries and generations? How robust, intricate, massive, and mysterious does it have to be for us to truly "feel" it?
