What are evergreen email campaigns?

We might be using the word evergreen a bit differently than usual here, but in this case, we are talking about campaigns that can be set to run for months without needing a human touch to it.

An evergreen campaign, simply put, is one that can be set to run for an extended period of time without needing any additional input from the creator. This type of campaign can provide a business with consistent messaging and sales opportunities, helping to keep up with the warm leads in the sales funnel.

Evergreen email campaigns for sales is a technique that allows businesses to deliver the same engaging content to subscribers at regularly scheduled intervals. It's an efficient and effective way for businesses to remain in contact with their customers, build relationships, and ultimately increase sales.

Asynchronous communication (such as automated emails) also helps streamline customer service processes by enabling businesses to quickly provide answers to commonly asked questions or address customer pain points. Finally, automated evergreen email campaigns for sales are cost-effective requiring little daily attention from marketers once setup has been completed.

The most common type of evergreen campaign is an automated email campaign. Businesses can set up emails that are sent out at predetermined intervals, such as weekly or monthly, with important information about their products or services. Automated email campaigns help ensure that customers receive timely updates and don’t miss out on any sales opportunities.

In addition to automated email campaigns, businesses can also use other types of automatic campaigns such as social media campaigns or content marketing campaigns.

Our type of evergreen campaign is an automated email campaign that can perform based on a dynamic prospect list that constantly gets new records in.

Sales.Rocks evergreen campaigns

At Sales.Rocks we’ve implemented the Dynamic Google Sheets option for the Drip campaigns.

What does this mean?

When creating your campaign you can now choose to upload a Google Sheet that will secure a constant flow of new prospects for your campaign.

The dynamic process re-reads your uploaded list every 24 hours and checks for new contacts. If there are new contacts added to the list, they will be enrolled in the campaign based on your selected schedule.

This process can be done also if there is a finished campaign. The list will be checked for additional 15 days if there are new contacts added to the Google Sheet and the campaign will automatically start for the new entries in those 15 days.

To implement it, go through the configuration steps of a campaign in the Drip Campaigns Module and choose a dynamic upload of a Google Sheet. And that's it. After creating your campaign, it will be running to new prospects each day.

Benefits of running evergreen campaigns

Did you get a rough idea about the ever-running campaigns? Good, because now you can imagine all the possibilities and benefits you can have with it.?

Best practices for this kind of campaign are for example if you have automation running on different sources. Let's say you have a configuration that adds contacts to your Google Sheets once there is a sales signal or a change within a company (this can be anything from hiring signals to event attending, to funds, etc.)?

You can connect this list in a Sales.Rocks campaign, craft the sequence according to the specific signal, and run it. Each time a contact enters a list they will get your emails and the prospecting process will be started for them, without you uploading a new prospecting list. Neat right?

In general evergreen, campaigns are a great way to ensure your content reaches the right audience at the right time, upon triggers and signals as mentioned. You won't be in a position to contact people when there is a so-called 'negative event' in their company.

With automated evergreen campaigns, businesses can also save time by automating mundane tasks. All in all, running automated evergreen campaigns can be an invaluable tool for any business that wants to stay ahead of the competition.
