Telford based My LOW Carbon Limited may have a solution for you.? We have 500, 5-year-old Solar PV panels that have been removed from the roof of an organisation due to a problem with the roof.? This was nothing to do with the panels themselves that still have at least 20 years life left in them.

We are offering the panels FREE of charge, providing the rest of the installation is paid for.? We calculate that this will produce a breakeven on the panels (assuming all of the energy produced is used by the organisation) of just over 3 years, which compares with more like 5 years for brand new versions (albeit with 25-year life).? Break even subject to individual circumstances.

To take advantage of this offer you have to

a)??????? Be able to take a minimum of 100 panels (requiring roof space of 180 square meters) and a maximum of 500 panels (requiring 900 square meters).? You can use Google Earth’s ruler tool to complete a rectangle and calculate the area of your roof.

b)?????? Have electricity consumption in excess of the savings (see table, but e.g. 100 panels will produce c 22,000 kWh of electricity per year), to maximise the benefit and get the break even down to such low levels
