What do people say about the careers fair?
It’s award-winning. NCL Training Hub and Middlesex University won Best Practice - Collaboration Award?at?HELOA Awards 2024?for the fair:
?“The NHS faces significant recruitment challenges and many young people are unaware of the opportunities. It’s challenging for NHS professionals to support careers events - our event addresses these challenges by inviting a range of NHS professionals to discuss their career paths with attendees.”
“My son and I really enjoyed the NHS event. It was great to meet representatives of London Ambulance Service and nurses, who gave us lots of information about their job and training to become a paramedic or nurse.” Parent at NCL Health and care careers fair
“My job involves working with children and adolescents going through cancer treatment. We use play to prepare and distract children and support their family at a difficult time. An apprenticeship came up at the hospital and I was able to study and work at the same time, which was really good.” Katie Tyler, Health Play Specialist, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
