Website owners and SEO managers everywhere dread the very utterance: “new algorithm”. Yes, it’s true…usually, an algorithm shift from Google is all that is needed to send the SEO world scrambling. In fall of 2015, Google’s algorithm shift that rewarded the more mobile-friendly websites with higher search rankings was one of the bigger we had seen. It meant, not a change in content necessarily, but a complete revamp in site design for many. However, as the SEO world turns, it may not be a algorithm that wreaks havoc next.
Actually, the havoc as already begun, but it’s the Siri’s and Ask Google’s of the mobile world that are the culprits. After all, when searching for an ATV dealer in the Knoxville area, a consumer might simply type in “ATV dealer in Knoxville TN”. However, when using voice recognition for search, it’s probably going to be posed as a question or requested in a completely different way. “Siri…where can I find a new CFMoto UTV?” Now, that’s a horse, not only of a different color, but one requiring a new saddle.
