I talk to a lot of Realtors who have doubt.
Doubt that they have what it takes to keep going.
Doubt that they’ll be able to find more clients.
Doubt that their next deal won’t fall through.
Doubt is like a disease.
And it permeates all aspects of your life if you let it.
Prospects can smell it.
Your family and friends feel its negative energy.
You start making excuses because of it.
“My brokerage isn’t supportive.”
“My sphere isn’t engaged.”
“The market is too hard.”
If you ever feel or say these things, don’t worry.
You’re not alone.
But how do we overcome doubt?
One word - “systems”.
Great, thanks for that super ambiguous word, Tom.
What I mean by “systems” is your unwavering belief about the activities that will make you successful.
Put yourself in a coach’s shoes for a minute.
If you had to coach a new Realtor to be successful, what kind of system would you teach them?
You would start by writing down the specific activities necessary for them to perform daily, weekly, monthly and yearly in order to get clients and do deals.
Whatever this system is, you would deliver it to them knowing that IF they follow it, they should have a 0% chance of failure.

And that’s exactly what you should do for yourself to eliminate doubt.
Then all that’s left to do is execute.
You see, when you’re in execution mode, you don’t have time for doubt.
When doubt ceases to exist, confidence has room to thrive.
And confidence is contagious.
So, what does YOUR system look like?
What are the specific activities you will perform each day, week and month?
Maybe it’s…?
“I will call 3 people from my sphere each weekday to see how I can help them or people they know.”
Or…
“I will post one valuable insight about home buying/selling on LinkedIn every day.”
Or…
“I will write a weekly newsletter for my sphere to keep my services top of mind.”? (this is a great way to introduce your personal referral program btw, but that’s not what this article is about!).
Whatever your system is, write it down.
Even doing this simple exercise will start eliminating your doubt.
When you’re done, read through it.
If you are 100% confident that your system will produce results IF strictly followed, then you literally have no room for doubt.
If you’re NOT 100% confident, change your system!
The point here is to get into execution mode so that confidence can rear its big beautiful head.
