Ever been called an idiot on LinkedIn? How to deal with negativity like a PRO.

Ever been called an idiot on LinkedIn? How to deal with negativity like a PRO.

Have you ever been called an Idiot?

I’ve just had my first time.

On the most professional network out there.

It happened on a post I wrote about Elon Musk and organizational change.

The person didn’t even care to argue the point. They just needed to say something to get their opinion validated.

I reported the comment before screenshotting it—because that’s not the kind of behavior I want to spread or even acknowledge - report, delete, give ZERO energy, except it was a good prompt to practice writing :)

How to Handle Offensive Comments (And Why You Should Care Less)

1?? Abusive comments?

Delete, report, move on. No need to consider their words. Reducing negativity online is a win for everyone.

2?? Debate is fine.

Personal attacks are not. We can disagree on ideas, but that doesn’t mean we attack people.

3?? They don’t know you.

Most online critics aren’t experts, have zero context about you, and are often just looking for validation. Or maybe having a bad day. Or even the life they hate. Why else would you try abusing people? What kind of unhappy, angry, dissatisfied person does that?

4?? Give zero energy to nonsense.

If they gave no thought to their words, why give them space in your mind? Protect your brainpower for things that actually matter.

Keep showing up. Keep putting your best work into the world. That’s how you win.

?? What’s your approach to handling negativity online?

Hit the comment section—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
