Zoho Signs Partners With J-Hub Africa Innovation Hub

Tech company Zoho has partnered with J-Hub Africa, the digital innovation hub that supports budding innovators and entrepreneurs at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) (JKUAT).

This partnership aims to promote technology adoption among young innovators and early stage startups. The country manager of Zoho in Kenya, Veerakumar, has also said that the partnership will provide upskilling for students who are about to join the workforce. Zoho Africa

Bolt Expands To Botswana

Estonian ride-hailing giant, Bolt , is launching in Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana. To start off its launch, Bolt is waiving its usual 15-20 percent commission fee for drivers for the first six months, presenting a chance for the drivers to join the platform and earn more.

Africa Fintech Festival To Be Held In Naivasha, Kenya

The Association of Fintechs in Kenya (AFIK) in collaboration with Africa FinTech Network (AFN) has announced that the Africa Fintech Festival (AFF) will be held at the Enashipai Resort in Naivasha from 12th -15th June 2024.

Africa is the world’s fastest-growing continent when it comes to fintech revenue, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32 percent. This means that by 2030, the African fintech market will be worth $65 billion, according to the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and QED Investors.

Kenya Wins Bid To Host 2024 Transform Africa Summit

Kenya has won the bid to host the 2024 Transform Africa Summit (TAS) convened by the Smart Africa Alliance, a Pan African agency for ICTs.

The announcement of Kenya’s win was made by Dorren Bogdan-Martin, the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Barcelona, Spain, on the sidelines of the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC-24).

While accepting the win, CS ELIUD OWALO , the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy said the achievement was a stamp of confidence in Kenya’s unrivalled leadership in the ICT landscape.
