On August 3, the Event Tech Pitch Day hosted by Digital Bears , a boutique digital agency, took place. It’s a virtual event where event tech startups presented their solutions and were judged by the event professionals.
The program consisted of several sections that took turns one after another within one window which is an innovative discovery of Beams, the platform where the event was hosted. Participants could solve the puzzle while waiting for the start then live streams with the host welcome words and startup presentations began. After that, attendees could learn more about the startups at their booths on the exhibition which were right in the same window not letting any participant gets lost.
And then it was finally time for the jury’s feedback. There were experienced event professionals on the jury: Alistair Barton, Mahoganey Jones, Shatoyia Davenport, Merijn van Buuren, Simon Howard, Johnny D. Martinez, Kyle Kocinsky and Shane Lewis. After the livestream where each jury member said their word, participants could also vote for the preferred startup in the appeared poll.

Therefore, two winners were chosen: the jury’s choice is?Spark’n. It’s a people and culture platform. As they say, each of their 15-minute Sparks, hosted by their Experience Makers, was designed to amplify connections between people, whether that is in online meetings, a virtual workshop or a hybrid event. Participants choose?Uviz.io?as a winner, a game platform with video chats to connect and have fun online together — all in one place.
“As a growing global startup, it’s exciting to share the story of Spark’n. The fantastic feedback from the judges and attendees at Event Tech Pitch Day provided us with invaluable perspectives and new ideas on how to better connect and accelerate innovation across virtual and hybrid events” —?says Paul Hart , founder of Spark’n
After the winners were announced, that was time for a networking session. Almost half of all the participants reached the last section and could chat with the startups, jury members, participants and hosts via webcam and mics on.
“It was exciting and invigorating to see what the future of event tech holds. This was amplified by the startups being receptive to the jury’s feedback about how to fine-tune their tools and really shape them for the correct, applicable market. To have this inside knowledge of what is to come is incredibly valuable for event professionals like me” —?says Alistair Marston , one of the jury members.
