The Wall Street Journal recently reported (1/18/20) that the Executive Assistant role is “vanishing.” Not true. This article is a vivid example of assistants knowing that they, and those who manage them, should not believe everything read. What is actually happening is an evolution to the role where lower-level jobs are, in fact, being automated - while the need for skilled and resilient executive business partners is expanding. No digital device can replace what they do.
With a deep perspective that comes from speaking in 14 countries and 38 States, Bonnie Low-Kramen knows that there has never been a better time to work as an administrative professional than right now. She also knows that there has never been a more complicated time to work as an administrative professional than right now. In 2020, it is a whole new ballgame in our global workplace and we will navigate those messy complications, and our PR problem, together at her ALA NYC program on April 2nd. Bonnie will pull the curtain back on important global trends that are impacting assistants everywhere. These include the latest trends about: Diversity & Inclusion, Succession Planning & Legacy, Titles & Job Descriptions, and the Emergence of AI.
Attendees will learn:
- How Leadership works in a support role at law firms
- How to more fully leverage your SMEs – (subject matter experts)
- The latest news about diversity and inclusion as it relates to gender and generations
- Importance of mentoring and teamwork as keys to long-term success
- Finding your voice - Speaking up in an effective way and closing communication gaps
- What it means to function as a true business partner with a seat at the table
- Moving forward: Strategies, tools, and resources to exceed a manager’s and your team’s highest expectations
- What the future looks like in the land of AI and virtual work
There will be time at the end for a Q&A session for specific attendee questions.
