This event changed my life forever

When I was 16 I loved to ride my scooter around town. I felt invincible and strong, feeling risk free.

One day, I was riding my scooter when a car suddenly collided with me. The scooter was run over by the car, and I was thrown off the vehicle.

I flew off, my hit his head on the ground and twisted his ankle. When my dad arrived felt unwell and was rushed to the hospital with me.

After some time in the hospital, I was relieved to hear that his injuries were not too serious. However, the accident left a deep impact on me.

The thought of what could have happened if he wasn't wearing a helmet haunted me for years and I still have crystal clear flashbacks today, and I realized that I had taken safety for granted. I was grateful for the helmet that protected me from a potentially life-threatening head injury.

From that day on, I made sure to be extra careful while riding his scooter. I encouraged my friends and family to always wear helmets and other protective gear while riding any vehicle.

My accident is a reminder to all of you that safety should always come first!
