Even though we are apart, there’s still a lot our community can do together

These past few weeks have certainly showed us the importance of demonstrating compassion, empathy and generosity of spirit toward others. I have been using this time to personally reflect, reach out, and think about how we can adapt and do our work differently.
With that in mind, USGBC has decided to transform our 2020 events (with the exception of Greenbuild San Diego on November 4, where we plan to convene our community) from in-person gatherings to live digital experiences.
Despite the great uncertainty of the weeks and months ahead, as an organization, we must keep moving forward and be the embodiment of resiliency. As a community of builders, we must project and feel a sense of stability and aspiration. And as a community that largely focuses on speaking, we all need to take the time to focus on listening and observing. We must focus on absorbing the present so that when we plan for our healthy future, we remember the past and learn from it.
Take care and I look forward to engaging virtually soon.

100% agreed. I am spending my time in learning more about the Ground Source Heat Pumps and would like to contribute to the Energy Saving in Green Buildings. After the lock down is over we would like to bounce back in our endeavour.
