It’s getting more and more painful to be caught not paying attention to cybersecurity.?The government is asking for proof of what you are proactively doing.??Credit card companies are asking.?Lawyers are asking.?Clients are asking.

Now there are all kinds of financial penalties and consequences.?It’s no longer enough to say you asked someone else to handle it or that you reviewed it a year or two ago.??You are expected to have proof you have real security measures in place.

But here is the GOOD news.?It’s EASY and CHEAP to dramatically improve security.??Just do a few things every quarter.?Start with the least expensive, easy, “low-hanging fruit”.

We even have a checklist of the top 20 things to fix right now.?Just ask me and I’m happy to help anyone!

Did you know it’s practically considered professional malfeasance not to:

  • Have two-factor authentication on your email accounts?
  • Provide automated, regular employee cybersecurity training?
  • Encrypt laptop and other device hard drives?
  • Have ransomware-specific mitigation in place?
  • Test and apply patches at least monthly?

Again, it’s EASY!

You can protect your firm, your job and your finances by simply reviewing the fundamentals every quarter.??You can make a big difference with such little effort!
