Even the greatest . . .
. . . dip their pens in others' ink.
Just like this one, the last I exposed
Here it is:
Love it? So do I!
Unfortunately, they were not the original writers
For this one, it’s clear who’s the first one and who’s the imitator
But, alas! I like the newer version better. Much better.
I don’t get the ultra-hype around those four. Granted, they had some great tunes, and so many of them - like this one.
But so did ABBA. And whoever wrote “Baby one more time” and the rest of the great pop tunes out there.
How are the mop-tops NOT commercial?! As if being so were something bad! Get real, they came up with some of the greatest MAINSTREAM, COMMERCIAL pop-rock songs of the 60s, good for them, good for us. But where is the “off”-stream streak?! Again, only snobbish fappers think mainstream is somehow “bad” or “tainted”. But those Beagles were indeed mainstream. That’s a fact. Not good, not bad in itself. The music was good often going on great. Too bad they couldn’t find a real singer to render it for them. And us.
“They”* were great songwriters
As for McFartney, he's even worse than Michael Jackson LOL!
Regardless, have they really not asked for some greenback appreciation from the Offspring?!
It’s their song. Unless they copied it from someone else as well ;)
And here’s a lovely little cover
What can I say? I prefer cute amateur Japanese girls with such sweet accents cover a gang of less-than-talented Scauzer blokes with bad haircuts and probably even worse manners
But overall, The Offspring rules them all, of course.
