Tell us about your career growth in Plumblink?

My career journey at Plumblink has been quite interesting and dynamic. I started as an Internal Auditor more than a decade ago at a time when Plumblink only had twenty-six branches nationally. A few years later I rejoined the company as a Business Development Manager within the Insurance and Public Sector divisions. The timing of this opportunity could not be more fitting and perfectly suited to my personal and professional aspirations. It provided me with an opportunity to establish myself in sales and operations. In under a decade, my position has evolved into a key leadership role with a wide range of duties and enhanced decision-making.

What does a typical day at Plumblink look like for you?

I do not have a typical day as the nature of my work is dictated by many variables and things can go from normal to fiery in a split second. I occasionally start the day by reviewing the previous day’s sales and often check in with the team for matters that require immediate attention. I spend the rest of the day planning, coordinating activities, overseeing the team, attending to escalated queries and responding to emails. I will end my day by following up on any outstanding emails and updating my to-do list for the next day. I take pride in understanding my role in ensuring the team's success and aligning their efforts with the company's strategic objectives.

Some of my days start and end with attending meetings with existing and potential customers and a bit of admin in between.

Favourite part of the job?

Having a platform and space to engage directly with various stakeholders both within and outside the company to drive meaningful change.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy travelling and exploring different kid's spots with my son. I am also an avid hiker and a member of a hiking club.
