EVclicks - helping each other along the road to zero

It's no secret that I am a passionate advocate for electric vehicles. I've been working amongst them since 2012, and aside from the sublime driving experience, mass transition to electric modes of transport will do wonders for improving air quality through reduction of pollution from noxious exhaust fumes. In my work life at ElectraLink, I often need to source electric vehicle-related images for use in presentations and press releases. I like to use true to life images, that actually show how people are adapting to life with electric vehicles and their associated charging needs. It struck me that an online platform on which to share electric vehicle images could be useful. And so EVclicks was born on 20 February 2019.

The vision behind EVclicks is simple - it's a free resource library of electric vehicle images for anyone to use in aid of the transition from #ICE to #EV. The photos are for use by schools, community groups, projects and small businesses (this list in non-exhaustive!). I've already spotted EVclicks-donated images being used to promote seminars on electric vehicles and climate change, and in PowerPoint presentations.

How does it work? Images can be donated via Twitter, by simply tweeting a photo and tagging @EVclicks. For those that don’t use Twitter, see here. I’ve encouraged many of my fellow electric vehicle supporters to 'donate' their images. The response has been fantastic, from drone photos donated by the remarkable Wiebe Wakker on his 95,000 km electric road trip from Amsterdam to Sydney, to contributions from Robert Llewellyn and a host of other equally wonderful proponents of the switch to electric modes of transport.

People from around the globe are donating their EV photos to EVclicks. Please take a look at the EVclicks image library, please use the images – and please send in your photos!

There's an EV blog too... guest blog donations also welcome.

Note: Please cite ‘Courtesy of @EVclicks’ when using an image, wherever possible – thank you. It’s a great way of helping to spread the word.
