EVAP is acknowledged by GEAN for advocating for environmentally responsible transportation alternatives

At the recent 10th International Electric Vehicle Expo that took place in Korea, the Global Electric Vehicle Network (GEAN) acknowledged the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) as a driving force in promoting sustainable transportation options in the country. This recognition came about as a result of the EVAP's participation in the event.
Edmund Araga, president of EVAP, was presented with an award by the GEAN, chaired by its Chairman Daehwan Kim, in recognition of his work as president of the Asian Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA) to advance environmentally responsible modes of transportation in Asia.
Araga, who was present at the event together with EVAP Chairman Rommel Juan, commented on how successful the event was. The event served as a great stage for the Electric cars Association of the Philippines (EVAP) to demonstrate the strides that have been achieved in advancing the use of electric cars (EVs) in the Philippines.
According to Araga, "It was also an opportunity for the organization to gain insights from other countries and to explore new technologies that could be implemented in the Philippines."

Dennis Chuah, President of the Electric Vehicle Association of Malaysia, joined Araga and Juan in representing the Asian Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA) at the event. Araga and Juan were also representing the Asian Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA).
During the course of the exhibition, the Philippine delegation had the chance to meet with officials from various electric vehicle (EV) groups and share their thoughts on how to encourage more people to use EVs. They were also given the opportunity to see the most recent electric vehicle models and technology that were on show at the expo.
"The journey to Korea was an important milestone for both the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) and the Philippine Electric Vehicle sector. According to Araga, the event served as a demonstration of the EVAP's dedication to its mission of promoting environmentally responsible and sustainable modes of transportation in the Philippines.
