Evaluation Results/ Case Study

Late last year we undertook to work with a large IT Department in a significantly large organisation. The brief was to improve overall staff engagement and alignment and improve performance and productivity.

We started by applying the TMSDI team type assessment tool to all staff and followed this up with 121 feedback and coaching sessions.

We find the TMSDI product to be one of the best. Quick to use, accurate in its ability to assess team role preferences and clearly reported in a focused and professional format.

There then followed a series of five themed department wide one day workshops, which were delivered on an away day basis. The topics of each workshop were designed in response to a training needs analysis of the department and once again focused upon their operational function and current levels of performance.

Using a simple, (personally non attributable) questionnaire between these monthly workshops, we measured several important engagement factors and the results below indicated the success of the programme of our intervention.

In addition, there was reported a significant increase in internal customer satisfaction levels and all key performance indicators for the Department improved. The Director reported higher levels of staff engagement, creativity and innovation and reduced levels of conflict/grievances. These have proven to be sustainable in the medium to long term.

In addition, because of our close working relationship with staff and management, and the trust we were able to earn through our work here, we were able to identify a small number of dysfunctional and unproductive internal personnel issues which we were able to resolve independently and quickly.

All in all, a good job done and a very satisfied client which after all is our main reward.
