? The first Tesla Model Y deliveries have arrived in Australia! Many more deliveries are expected, as over 12,000 were ordered in June during the first weekend alone when they became available for Australian customers.

?? Petroleum company Ampol launches first of 120 electric vehicle fast chargers. The first charger opened in Sydney this week, with the national roll out set to reach completion at the end of 2023.

?? Brisbane City Council has ordered 60 battery electric 'trackless trams'. The vehicles have 3 carriages each, will be charged with Australia’s first ever flash charging system ( an overhead pantograph infrastructure ) and will be used on Brisbane's Busway system.

?? The automotive sector are hopeful Labor will impose a vehicle emissions standard at an upcoming EV summit. Australia and Russia are the only developed nations without a standard for vehicles' carbon emissions, and a new report has found if an emissions cap on car-makers that was proposed by former PM Malcolm Turnbull?had come to fruition, it would have saved drivers $5.9 billion?in fuel costs.
