Eurowag finalized the first sustainability linked loan agreement

Further to the refinancing?of Eurowag’s?multicurrency term and revolving facilities?provided by a group of lenders comprising Komer?ní banka , a.s. (KB),? ?eská spo?itelna , a.s., ?eskoslovenská obchodní banka, a. s., ?eská exportní banka, a.s. , a. s., UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and?Slovakia, a.s.,?Citibank Europe plc, 法国巴黎银行 S.A., Raiffeisenbank a.s. and PKO Bank Polski SA.?and?announced in September 2022, Eurowag has now agreed?ESG?KPIs?in relation to the refinanced facilities.?These facilities are now?linked to the achievement of Eurowag‘s sustainability goals, and?their?interest rate?pricing will be based on?it’s performance on the agreed set of KPIs.

KB?acted?as ESG coordinator, verifying with Eurowag that the?agreed KPIs?are sufficiently ambitious, material, and verifiable from the perspective of other?lenders.??For KB this also marks the first sustainability-linked loan provided by KB which complies with international standards

We would like to thank the KB team led by Michal Kunc in cooperation with the Societe Generale team led by Karin Bony Merad , the White & Case team led by Tomas Jine (client’s legal counsel), the Dentons team led by Daniel Hurych (banks’ legal counsel), the Rothschild & Co team (client’s financial advisor) led by Rory Cameron-Mowat and Ananya Modi , former CFO of Eurowag Group Magdalena Bartos , CSO of Eurowag Ivan Jakúbek , the Eurowag's finance project manager Tereza Anna Vinklerova and Jan Gaszczyk , Head of Eurowag‘s Treasury department for successfully closing the documentation of sustainability-linked loan.

The sustainability goals that Eurowag has set for itself include the reduction of GHG emissions for us as a business and our customers and female leadership in the organisation.?This financing commitment will further drive incentivization across Eurowag to ensure we meet our targets and shows our commitment to making the industry clean, fair, and efficient.
