Eurovision Fever is on - Swedes have the highest trust of winning and the Danish the lowest
The Nordic countries are gearing up for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023! We asked people in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway about their plans to watch the contest and the expectations for their country's success.
Finns and Swedes are the most eager to watch the contest
First, the good news. 33% of all respondents said they plan to watch the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Finland and Sweden had the highest percentage of viewers at 39%, followed by Norway at 34%. Denmark had the lowest percentage of viewers at 19%.

Nordic countries don’t put high hopes for winning
The expectations for winning the contests were much lower. Only 8% of all respondents predicted a win for their country, Swedes had the highest hopes with 17%. Meanwhile, 21% of all respondents predicted a position in the top 5 contestants, with Sweden having the highest percentage (39%) believing in top 5 position. That's the spirit, Sweden! Dream big and aim high!
?Eurovision fever is lowest in Denmark
Danes had the lowest expectations of success for the country; 48% believed not making it to the final whereas the average of Nordic countries was 28%. Finally, 7% predicted that their country would receive zero points in the contest, with Denmark having the highest percentage in this as well.
Overall, the survey provides a glimpse into the Nordic countries' Eurovision fever and expectations for the upcoming contest. We can't wait to see how it all plays out. Go Nordic countries and may the best song win!
