Eurostar’s New High-Speed Train

Eurostar’s New High-Speed Train

There’s nothing like saving time when traveling between countries and now you can with Eurostar’s new 4-hour rail service between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, specifically between Amsterdam and London. Costs start at £40 (US$50) each way. Additional train stops include Rotterdam (3.5 hours to London) and Brussels (2 hours to London).

Previously passengers had to make connections and transfers among three countries – Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Belgium. While Eurostar has offered a direct route from London to Amsterdam since 2018, there wasn’t one for the direction going to London.

Passengers can book six months in advance and can exchange tickets with no fee up to 14 days prior to departure for all bookings made through December 31, 2020.

Eurostar is the only high-speed train service that connects the U.K. to France, Belgium, and the Netherlands via the Channel Tunnel that travels beneath the English Channel.

Current COVID rules require masks to be worn while onboard and at train stations (except when or drinking). Seating has been revised to allow for social distancing onboard. Trains are sanitized between each journey.

Plan now; travel later.
