European PropTech ConTech Startup & Scale-Up Europe Awards 2024

The European PropTech Association is excited to usher in the 6th edition of the Startup & Scale Up Europe Awards, an esteemed event highlighting the most innovative minds in property, real estate, and sustainable technology.

As we gear up for the event, we warmly invite startups and scale-ups to showcase their pioneering solutions by submitting their entries by May 31st, 2024.

The PropTech ConTech Start-Up & Scale-Up Europe Awards is a competition aimed at identifying the most promising PropTech and ConTech companies of Europe. The awards are supported and promoted by the European Commission & FINNOVA FOUNDATION supported by the President of the European Parliament , the President of the European Committee of the Regions and the Vice-President of the European Economic and Social Committee , and the 24 PropTech National Associations of Europe.

Key Dates for the PropTech Startup & Scale-Up Europe Awards 2024:

• Opening of Applications: February 1st, 2024 marks the beginning of the submission period.
• Application Deadline: The deadline for submissions is May 31st, 2024.
• Judging Period: The jury will assess entries from June 1st to August 15th, 2024.
• Announcement of Top 50 Shortlist: The top 50 startups and scale-ups will be revealed on August 16th, 2024.
• Semi-Finalist & Finalist Pitches: The most outstanding entries will proceed to the semi-final rounds for in-person pitching on September 17th & 18th, 2024, at the Realty 2024 Real Estate Summit in Belgium.

8 Categories of the European PropTech Startup & Scale-Up Europe Awards 2024

1. Manage & Operate — Management of buildings, as operator, property manager, facility manager, asset manager.
2. Market & Transact — Commercialization of the building.
3. Finance & Invest — The beginning of any real estate project, the selection of the site, the investment and financing phase.
4. Design & Build — The design of the buildings, the execution of the construction works, up to the handover of the buildings.
5. Live & Work — New technology, or service (access controls, air quality monitoring, community management solutions) impacting the end-user experience.
6. Mobility & Logistics — Organization and management of the flow of goods related to purchasing, production, warehousing, distribution and disposal, reuse, etc. (such as a software enabling efficient net-zero parcel distribution in a city)
7. Energy & Raw materials — The reduction in the use of energy and materials, or the reuse of these or brand-new materials. Focus on end of life+ beyond the lifecycle.
8. Space — The integration with Space: the potential to integrate technologies from European Space Agency (such as the monitoring of remote construction sites, predicting where to build solar plants, geolocation of assets, real time GHG monitoring on buildings).

Last Year's Judges

Last year's awards were distinguished by an extensive evaluation process, carried out by over 70 industry experts, including Tim Weyts, Rune Augenstein, Gregory Pitl, Julia Arlt (Parvanta), Andrew Knight, and Grigor Hadjiev.

Their valued and diverse expertise played an instrumental role in recognizing outstanding achievements and innovations in the real estate industry.

We were beyond impressed by the number and quality of participants in last year's awards. We received hundreds of submissions, however in the end only 50 shortlisted companies judged by our esteemed panel proceeded to the next round. This included Carrot , Hamwells , The Warming Surfaces Company , Betolar , KeyNest , NORNORM , R8 TECHNOLOGIES , INGY , Chainels , Okify and more.

Last Year's Winner

The 2023 edition saw remarkable achievements, with LEKO , led by Fran?ois Cordier , emerging as a champion of sustainable construction.
