After great work by MEPs José BLANCO LóPEZ, Claude TURMES, Michèle RIVASI and Miroslav POCHE, the European Parliament today voted to set a target of 35% Renewable Energy across the EU by 2030 and to increase Energy Efficiency targets to 40% by 2030.
These MEPs and the 671 others that voted with them have now acted to bring Policy in line with the Promises of the Paris Agreement. A small but significant step in the right direction. 2030 is just 12 years away though, so absolutely no time to rest on one's laurels.
