Europe-Silicon Valley: the Dialogue Continues
Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley. This year. Again. For the third time.
A 75+ delegation will fly to San Francisco for a week (September 18-22).
A very diverse delegation (scaleups, policy makers, corporate senior execs, investors).
A truly pan-European delegation (from 20 countries).
A quite high level delegation, both policy (a Former President, Secretaries of State, MEPs, members of the Committee of the Regions, senior Directors of the European Commission, ...) and business-wise (15 stellar fast growing scaleups, senior execs from corporates, investors).
An intense week full of meetings, receptions, workshops, hackathons (yes, you got it right, we are gonna hack policy too), visits. Plus a huge conference (the European Innovation Day has become de facto the European Digital Conference in the Bay Area, the day right after TechCrunch Disrupt. Here to sign up).
The ultimate goal is to provide a platform where information and business opportunities can flow freely across the pond.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

7 年Your conditions of entry for European start-ups are SO OUTDATED - its quite unbelievable!! To quote: "Minimum requirements to be considered as a SCALEUP candidate: You must have had at least 10 employees as of 3 years ago" This a truly faulty recipe of a startup from the past decade which HAS NOT managed to do much in the past 3 years .... Whoever invented this - quite frankly stupid rule???!!! It prevented so many great, fast scaling up startups from applying! What a pity. 3 years is a VERY long time in a life of a startup. Wake up and face a reality. The selection process is faulty in its foundations, the start-ups chosen have very little chance of getting anywhere and why do you bring so many unnecessary people over (don't want to quote names, but there are many members from corporate and politics which make no sense at all)?? Ultimately you spend so much money (EU funding) which ultimately does very little. What a monumental waste!
