With the Inflation Reduction Act, the USA is creating a very attractive framework for a flourishing hydrogen market! They are promoting the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy with an investment-proof operating subsidy of over 50 billion USD!?This will have a dramatic impact on the energy transition in Germany and the whole of Europe.
The German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association launched its appeal to the government already making clear: If the Federal German government does not react immediately and create clear economic incentives for the local production of green hydrogen, we risk new dependencies in securing our future energy supply.?
Although the federal government announced that it will support the development of a green hydrogen economy with an additional 550 million euros - more is needed in Germany and Europe! In addition to a clear commitment to this key technology, we also need a commitment to digitalisation - to be able to create smart solutions for a fast ramp-up.?
