EU Commission urging countries to speed up on GDPR
Article 29 WP Guidelines - very useful, but proceed with caution The European Commission is nudging countries to step up their preparations for the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, which takes effect May 25 and is designed to strengthen Europeans’ right to privacy online.
“We need modern rules to respond to new risks, so we call on EU governments, authorities and businesses to use the remaining time efficiently and fulfill their roles in the preparations for the big day,” Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová said today.
