EU Black list

The European Union has published its black list of 17 un-cooperative jurisdictions and a grey list of 47 jurisdiction that are supposed to be co-operative but need to change a few things.
As you all know, IN Fiduciary Services operates in a number of jurisdictions (Netherlands, New Zealand, Malaysia (Labuan), Singapore and USA (Wyoming)). None of these are on the EU blacklist but Labuan is on the grey list. Many years ago we also worked with a number of off-shore jurisdictions (including some on the EU black list now) but we have found that we can also achieve the results wanted by our clients using legal entities in on-shore jurisdictions without the risk of being accused of tax evasion or illegal avoidance.
Our clients mainly look for international business and investment entities and asset protection using structures that allow them to use their assets as and when they decide to do so. Tax advantages are only an occasional fringe benefit. Structures can be used for investment (including holding), trading, consulting, inheritance planning and similar purposes. Over the years we have assisted clients in many countries including almost all European countries and clients in Asia-Pacific, North and South America. Most of our clients require full protection. They prefer to keep their assets for themselves without disclosing them to the outside world.
It is clear that the needs of our (existing and potential) clients have not changed over the years. We try to help our clients to protect their privacy. The secrecy surrounding companies - who owns them, and what’s done with them - is in the past but the privacy is voluntary and everybody is entitled to that. The international bureaucracy and politicians are doing their utmost to obtain all information they can get. We need to rebalance the scales between privacy and secrecy. We often use Foundations, which are of interest as they have no shareholders.

Great update and see that the USA tax haven states are not on the list. Wyoming has no record of who owns a limited liability company. Nevada only has the manager (which often the trustee or attorney).
