Ethics. I just met a company that had NO idea of Busines Ethics. Lucky me I can Choose.

Not long ago I met (would be leaders) of a company that went 100% the other way. The following statements represent my 100% belief, this is the base of my work:

Taking an ethical Oath – should be the path of every modern thinking Business School, of modern Leaders, of Managers and Decision Makers?

The Oath

As a manager, my purpose is to serve the greater good by bringing people and resources together to create value that no single individual can build alone!

To seek a course that enhances my values, my ethics, and my attitude within my Organization so that I can create sustainability for society over the long term.

I do fully comprehend and recognize that my decisions can have far-reaching consequences that affect the wellbeing of individuals inside and outside my Organization / Company, today and in the future.

Therefore, I promise:

To act with utmost integrity and pursue my work in an ethical manner.

To safeguard the interests of my shareholders, co-workers, customers, and the society in which we operate.

To manage my Organization / Company in good faith, guarding against decisions and behavior that advance my own narrow ambitions but harm the organization or company and the societies it serves.

To understand and uphold, both in letter and in spirit, the laws and contracts governing my own conduct and that of my organization or company.

To take responsibility for my actions, and to represent the performance and risks of my organization or company accurately and honestly.

To develop both myself and other managers under my supervision so that the profession continues to grow and contribute to the wellbeing of society.

To strive to create sustainable economic, social, and environmental prosperity worldwide.

To be accountable to my peers and they will be accountable to me for living by this oath.

 Ultimately, business ethics is all about:

Responsibility: to the greater good and the big picture of human life.

Transparency: in our decision-making and actions.

Honesty: in what we say, show, and do.

Accountability: with respect to what we’ve caused or contributed to in our actions.

It is NOT that hard.
