I have been discussing this issue with friends for long time, and each still has a different view.
I just want to know your opinion.
Do you think it’s ethical for an employee to convince his collogues or subordinates to leave and join his new employer when he resign assuming he has been enjoying his work with his previous employer and that he left on good terms?

7 年I used to get so many offers prior to earning a Masters degree, everything has slowed down since. As an HR, what would you say is the reason?

7 年If my current employer has earned my loyalty, then I would never consider leaving. It's strange how employers don't care about buying their employee's loyalties. I used to earn more before I got my bachelors degree and now that I have a masters degree and a list of qualifications, I am earning less. Would I leave? Hell yes! but again this doesn't mean that I will burn the bridge behind me.

7 年Well if a company treats their staff well like humans and provide them a positive environment and a good pay plus benefits, then this wont matter cause the staff will stay loyal and wont leave. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with an ex employee reaching out to his ex coworkers and offerimg them a better opportunity specifically if their current situation is not good.

7 年Organisations don't own staff! everyone can decide his life/career path regardless where it will take him and organisations should not stop this because its a life cycle. People go and people replace.

7 年Well I agree with Mr. Salman to some extent. If I move to another employer and i see that my ex- colleagues will feel more comfortable here and they'll be able to expand more here, I will absolutely recommend the new employer.
