Ethical Leaders are Different and should Dare to Standout...

Every organization needs an ethical leader to maintain its values and culture. An ethical leader is someone who sets an example for their team, embracing ethical standards in their decision-making and demonstrating high moral values. An ethical leader should be somebody who not only follows the rules, but tries to go above and beyond, to make sure everyone in their workplace is treated with respect.

Ethical leaders are not afraid to stand out from the crowd and make their own decisions. They are not afraid to challenge the status quo and stand up for what they believe to be right even if it means speaking out when they are in the minority. Ethical leaders pay attention to the importance of conducting business in a moral and responsible manner, beyond just focusing on financial results.

An ethical leader takes responsibility for their entire organization. They have the courage to take risks when necessary and are not afraid to ask hard questions. They are not afraid to confront people when needed and stand their ground if necessary. Additionally, a leader that exhibits strong ethical values will ensure that the necessary processes and procedures needed to uphold the organization’s ethical standards are in place and followed.

Above all else, an ethical leader should be an example to the team, leading by example and showing respect for everyone that is a part of their organization. They should be open to feedback and concerned for the wellbeing of every individual; constantly paying attention to any issues that may arise and being open to addressing them. Ultimately, ethical leadership is about making sure everyone in the workplace is treated fairly and with the respect they deserve.
