Greetings!?What a wild ride it was at the ETH-TLV and Building Blocks in Israel!
Here are some of my key takeaways:
***ETH-TLV Conference (Sratknet) **
- I was impressed by the 1000-strong crowd at the ETH-TLV Conference, which had a high caliber of people and an international mix of 50% non-Israeli attendees.?
- The conference had serious participation from high-impact entities like the Ethereum Foundation, tier-1 scaling solutions of the industry (zkSync, Polygon), and top talent from the zk industry. Starkware announced that the StarkNet (the layer 2 public blockchain) prover will be open-sourced.?
- Cuy Sheffield, Vice President, and Head of Crypto at Visa, gave a fireside talk about how Visa is testing accepting and paying settlement payments in USDC starting on Ethereum. Argent and Bravo were two of the main Smart Contract Wallet (SCW) providers at the event.?
- Argent's new digital wallet and web-based interface will make it easier for businesses like Disney and Starbucks to offer loyalty programs and gamification to customers without their knowledge or involvement in cryptocurrency.?
- Idan Ofrat, Co-founder, and CTO of Fireblocks, delivered an overview of the company's history and how they managed to build and grow during bear and bull markets.
**Building Blocks Conference**
- Over 450 strong attendees with a high caliber of people and a 60% non-Israeli mix. One of the key points from the conference was Jeremy from ConsenSys warning startups about a very tough H223, where many projects will get to the end of their runway and have to raise in a very tough fundraising environment.?
- Joe Lubin from ConsenSys talked about this bear market focusing on user end applications after we’ve built enough infrastructure and the exciting vibrant Web 3 scene in Israel.
- There was an incredible panel about account abstraction, bringing in the best minds in the industry to talk about one of the most promising aspects of web3 in onboarding the next billion people.?

Eliana Drescher
Dresher moderated a great panel on facilitating and not building communities. There was also a discussion about DAOs and how they are still not mature, with lots of learnings to be done across the industry.?
- Several side events organized by community signaling up and rising domains to watch, among them - Desci- Decentralized Science - the use of crypto rails for funding and curating scientific research, and Music x Web3 - how blockchain improve settlement, transparency of data and create new biz model for artist.
