All are in it, and most live of it
The masses trod along
The victor is he who rises above it
And despite the odds he remains strong
The Pace
The race is to not he who is swifter
Nor to the first out of the gate.
It is certainly not to the peerless drifter,
But to he who can run the most straight
To stay the path and to stay it steady
Through the rain and winds and night
One foot, then another, and always ready
For another step is all the fight
The Racer
He knows His voice, he does not fear it
He is powered by the flame
It burns inside him and warms his spirit
It’s been passed down with his name
The race he runs he runs it well
Carrying the torch to cross the line
Through fire and flame and endless hell
For he knows victory is divine
There will always be He the Racer
The Racer charges on
He runs eternal He the chaser
Chasing after dawn
