ETAP vs SKM- Who has the fastest response time during weekdays? If you need an answer NOW
ETAP and SKM are 2 power systems simulation software. They are the 2 most predominant software used in the following sectors in the USA: Data centers, oil and gas, facilities manufacturing, wastewater, and a few more.
SKM is less prevalent in utility or renewables. ETAP dominates the nuclear, nearly 90% of the market
I used both every day for the past 10 years. ??????????????????????
Notice that the title of the article mentions weekdays! SKM technical support does not work on weekends; however, ETAP does.
If you are stuck and need an answer between Monday and Friday, the winner is SKM. There is a catch to that answer.
SKM works incredibly well over the phone. They are pretty slow if you want to email them. Moreover, even on the phone, they tend to answer voicemails slowly. However, if you don’t reach them the first time, hang up and try 5 minutes later, they will pick up.
I discovered that SKM's urgent response time is lightning-fast compared to ETAP.
ETAP works more via email. It rarely responds within 1 hour or less. And on the phone, I often do not get someone to answer the phone. You usually have to leave a voicemail, and they will respond via email.
About 5 years ago, ETAP used to answer phone calls but now prioritizes emails. They called those tickets using the technical support help interface.
So, SKM is the winner in this question. It is only for the weekdays and only if you call on the phone.

10 小时前hi, its depends on Client requirements and avilability ETap is better in Integration and Interoperability point of view . SKM is good for smaller projects and cost effective also. Choice will depend on the specific needs of your power system, budget, and the complexity of System's.
