Today is a very big day for me.
To start off, today is when I celebrate my first year at etailz. It’s been such a fun ride this whole year. A new mission statement, a grand vision, a set of leadership principles, pivoting our business into a one stop shop platform to help brands grow on marketplaces, new services and products launched, renewed focus on sales and marketing, a new industry aligned org structure, new and improved operations, are only a handful of items that our team can point our names to. We got so much done this past year.
Well, all good things come to an end. Today is also the day we say goodbye to etailz.
Today we will be welcoming officially to this world – Kaspien. etailz and parent company Trans World Entertainment will merge into one brand “Kaspien”. The birth of Kaspien represents a new chapter in the history of etailz and Trans World Entertainment. Trans World Entertainment will no longer be a brick and mortar retailer. etailz will no longer only be a 3P retailer on Amazon. Kaspien is a one stop shop platform that brands use to build their marketplace businesses – from marketing, to inventory management, to data and insights, to compliance, and a hell lot more, Kaspien is a brand’s complete back office to manage their business. We pour fuel into your brand. We take brands from average performers to elite performers. Just like “Shopify” provides the platform for businesses to create their own eCommerce/DTC channels, “Kaspien” is doing the same for businesses growing on “Marketplace” channels. Whether you sell on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Target, whether you want to sell internationally or in the US, whether you are early in your brand life-cycle or late, whether you want to ship from your warehouse or want to use Amazon’s, “Kaspien” is your solution and everything accessible through a single platform.
I know my team is pumped, jazzed and excited. They have their A-game ready, because a new day begins for all of us; a new life begins for all of us; a new challenge begins for all of us; a new opportunity begins for all of us. New markets await, new brands await, new partners await. We're ready to take them to the next level.

P.S. The name Kaspien was inspired by the Caspian Sea, the largest inland sea in the world. Like many waterways, it’s a hub of commerce. There is also debate whether it’s a lake or a sea; it’s more than it appears to be. The name can grow with the company as they continue to evolve and pays homage to their unique approach operating as a retailer, agency, and software provider. The logo utilizes an abstract “K” as a graphic element and the negative space subtly incorporates a forward pointing arrow, representing forward thinking, innovation, and leadership – traits that etailz was founded upon and Kaspien will continue to embody. The hexagon behind the ‘K’ is inspired by patterns prevalent in nature due to the hexagon’s efficiency, from bees' honeycombs to the Giant's Causeway. Their value proposition is rooted in maximizing efficiency, and Kaspien’s logo is an homage to this.
