The Estonian government has instructed the ministries to develop their position within a month on the issue of introducing a contiguous zone, which will allow Estonia to apply its laws and detain violators in a wider maritime zone.
The instruction was given as a result of the discussion of this issue at a government meeting on January 12, which was held at the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
