Will Estimators be replaced by AI?

Once AI really kicks off (e.g see appended vid. #OpenAI #ChatGPT ) soft processes will disappear?100 years before?the material?practical and physical jobs can be replaced, perhaps even 1000 years. Funny?how the "smartest"?can think they are irreplaceable when the trash guy is more valuable once all the "smarts" are automated. These jobs will be hung to dry; capitalist economics will force it. Focus should be redirected to creative enterprise rather than banal repetition. So, if it can be outsourced so be it. Yet the opposite is true for cost analysts and here is why.

Much of our work is practical based cost, risk, margin, profit and competitive sell value modelling of physical, intellectual and administrative resourced labour based highly skilled and commercially protected?tasks, procedures and processes unknown to the public and how those tasks intersect the computational and managerial worlds and currency equivalency with its fluctuations?modelled?in the global world of supply chains and logistics, whole of?life asset costs, procurement, preservation, transportation, installation, commissioning, operation, turnaround maintenance and operational life and decommissioning, dismantle, demolition, disposal and recycling valuations, organising and managing?manufacturers in competitive commodity supply vs demand as modelled through cost tenders all affected with sensitivity to weather, calendar schedules, time constraints with political impacts all forecasted?and valued. Labour?force accommodations and industrial relations and disputes regulating?wage demands all predicted and costed in advance ....You see, we cost every minute of action of every?individual's interaction with physical reality in advance, sometime 5- 10 years?in advance of it happening.......multi stage , multiyear multi Billion dollar mega projects amidst the global?financial turmoil and record inflation these processes do not take breaks as long as ordinary people wake up with the desire to work, the numbers need to be signed and agreed.

You see myself?and others like me many of whom?congregate?here but most don't as they run the supply chain are far too busy to be that “important" https://web.aacei.org/ are the paper risk takers with experience and specialised mindset standing?behind the people across every intersection of what it takes to materialise the world's largest industrial machines into existence?in the real physical world at the end of the day...not to say we cannot be replaced.....

All the worlds’ people could disappear or even worse, become a state run by communism without competitive?processes and endorse massively inefficiency?with a net zero innovation driven supply chain and?then maybe cost estimators find little do when nobody appreciates the value of a dollar, or no competition exists at all.
