On the vibrant day of February 5, 2024, we embarked on a visit to Nagarathinam International School of Excellence with a shared mission—to establish a Design Thinking Chapter. The air was charged with anticipation as we set out to weave the principles of design thinking to Nagarathinam International school of excellence laying the groundwork for a transformative educational experience.
Our visit held a tapestry of aims and objectives, each thread contributing to the goal of integrating design thinking seamlessly into the school. As we traversed through the corridors of curriculum integration, we envisioned a future where design thinking principles would be interwoven into existing subjects, nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among the students.
In the heart of our endeavor lay the commitment to empower educators. We envisioned comprehensive training sessions, equipping teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to implement design thinking effectively, transforming them into mentors who could inspire and guide the next generation of innovative thinkers.
The journey unfolded further as we explored the realms of resources and materials, envisioning a classroom adorned with tools that would bring design thinking to life in daily lessons. The vision expanded to include the invaluable insights of guest speakers and industry experts, whose workshops would expose students to the real-world applications of design thinking, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Our vision embraced project-based learning as a cornerstone, urging students to roll up their sleeves and apply design thinking principles in real-life scenarios. We saw a future where achievements would be celebrated through showcases and events, fostering a culture that appreciates and values creative thinking and problem-solving.

As the chapters of our visit unfolded, the concept of cross-curricular integration emerged as a guiding star, promoting interdisciplinary learning and providing a holistic educational experience for the students at NISE. We left with a belief that the Design Thinking Chapter would be a catalyst for innovation.
